Basic Info
Name:Mr. P. Weasley
Bio

Percy Weasley.
it's the smiling on the package, it's the faces in the sand.

|| :: appearance :: ||
Tall, lanky, with a build like his father, Percy stands at around six feet and two inches tall, with a slim figure that often gives him the appearance of a living scarecrow. A long nose accentuates an angular face and holds up a pair of horn rimmed glasses, covering hazel eyes. He, like the rest of his family, has flaming red hair and is positively covered in freckles, especially in the summer, when he seems to get more freckles instead of tanning. He really wishes that he would tan. That would be nice.

Growing up, Percy almost always got hand-me-downs from his older brother, Bill, with whom he shared a similar body build. Practically everything was hand-me-down, from the books to the clothes to the pets to the home to his life. Though, Percy was resolute in changing things. Once he was out of school, he worked for his money. He bought brand new things, new fresh robes, new shoes, new glasses, and he wore his hair slicked back, professional. He needed to prove that he was different, that he was better.

|| :: history :: ||
Born the third son of Arthur and Molly Weasley on August 22nd, 1976, Percy Ignatius Weasley never really thought he fit in with his family. Sure, he looked like them. But really, he figured that was almost all of it. Percy felt slightly more and more awkward as he grew up, though he did want to work in the Ministry just like his father, he would not allow his own preferences to keep him in a low-paying job. To Percy, that was just stupid.

Showing signs of magic at an early age, especially an incident where Percy almost broke his father's foot during a temper tantrum, it was no surprise when the boy got his letter for Hogwarts. When being sorted, the hat almost put him into Slytherin, but for some unknown reason the hat decided to sort him into Gryffindor, perhaps deciding that his bravery and his cleverness would best suit him there.

It did not take long for Percy to fall into a routine and rise through the ranks, becoming a responsible leader. In his fifth year he became a prefect, and was rewarded with a new Owl for it. By his seventh year, he was respectable; Head Boy, on his way, and with a lovely girlfriend. It seemed like things were looking good.

Once out of Hogwarts, Percy got a job in the ministry, in the Department for International Magical Cooperation. And some time later, he was appointed to Fudge's own personal staff. It was a very triumphant feeling for Percy, and he supported the Ministry entirely. This caused a riff with his family, and eventually, he decided not to associate with them anymore. Even inside the Minstry, Percy refused to acknowledge his father's presence. Why should he, the man doesn't even support his own governing body!

As of now, Percy is an undersecretary to the Minister of Magic himself, Rufus Scrimgeour. He still holds the same opinion, and thinks very highly of the Minister and his newer ways to take control of the Ministry. He tries to be dignified around his family, but he never seems to want to speak to them anymore, as he usually ends up with a spoonful of mashed potatoes over his glasses.

In a few words, Percy is a very driven man.

With a strong sense of efficency, Percy likes to get things done and he likes to get them done right. He is very much tied up with dates, always keeping track of when a report is due, or when the Minister has tea, or when he has to speak to his family. He is controlled by his ambitions, and since childhood has dreamed of doing something good with his life and being known for it. Percy prides himself in being on time, neat, organised, and having everything done right.

For the most part, Percy is a strict person. His older brothers were very lax and not at all good role models for their younger siblings, and though Percy has tried to set a good example, he was disappointed and extremely let down when he saw the outcome of his other siblings. Percy worked hard to get to where he got, and what did he have to show for it? Troublesome kid brothers and a little sister who turned out to be just like them. When he was Head Boy in school, Percy always enforced the school rules to a T. Many of the students in the school compared him to Filch, but Percy never listened. He was doing what he said he was going to do, and who was he not to enforce the rules when clearly, it was his job?

Just like any fiery redhead, Percy is very stubborn. He likes for things to go his way, and when others don't see the plan that he has laid out, Percy gets very irritated, very tempramental, and very flustered. He often is dumbstruck, his mind going completely blank when he runs out of things to say, and his ears go redder than anything; an unfourtunate habit taken from his father.

Percy does not want to admit this, for a deep feeling of shame would overcome him if he DID mention it, but Percy is embarassed by his family. Their poverty, their opinions (though, they technically do believe in the same things), and the Weasley reputation. Percy finds it strange that not everyone in Great Britain fully defends the Ministry; shouldn't they? It's their government, it's for the people! How could anyone not approve?

Through the strict exterior and the aloof, high-brow lifestyle, Percy is actually a pretty decent person. He enjoys sports like any other normal man. He does have fun, he does enjoy his free time (though he believes that work should come first, and because of that, he doesn't have too much free time at all) and he, of course, likes women as much as any other bloke. Unfourtunately, since his Penelope dumped him, Percy hasn't had very much luck in the female department. Sometimes his co-workers would set him up on dates with other female staff members, but it's always ended horribly. What can Percy say? He is not cool like Bill, he is not rugged like Charlie. He is plain, hard-working, ambitious, and he barely has time to think about woo-ing random strumpets.
